www.vietnamvisa.govt.vn reserves the right to change any part of this agreement without notice and your use of the Website will be deemed as acceptance of this agreement. We advise users to regularly check the Terms and Conditions of this agreement.
We have complete discretion to modify or remove any part of this site without warning or liability arising from such action.
It is important that should you wish to cancel or get free changes for your visa application with www.vietnamvisa.govt.vn, you must send us an email within 5 to 10 minutes after applying successfully to prevent any unnecessary cost being incurred. After this time, your visa application will be auto-processed with all information you provided.
If we identify an issue that would cause rejection before we submit your application, you receive a full refund. Once your eVisa application has been submitted to the Vietnam Immigration Department, we are unable to reimburse you the visa fee, and any amendment will be charged.
It is imperative that you supply us with all the correct information required for your eVisa at the time of your intended departure. www.vietnamvisa.govt.vn cannot be held responsible for any eVisa granted incorrectly or refused entry due to incorrect visa information and any losses incurred. Though every effort will be made on our part to correct any visa issues prior to departure, no refund will be given by us in the event of false or incorrect information being supplied at the time of submission. We strongly recommend that you check your issued eVisa against your passport and personal information prior to departure.
Your Vietnam eVisa is an electronic visa issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department and delivered to you as a PDF by email. It is accepted at Vietnam's designated international checkpoints — international airports, land border gates, and seaports. There is no separate stamping counter and no cash stamping fee on arrival: you simply print your eVisa (or show it on your phone) and present it with your passport at immigration, where the officer scans it and stamps your passport. You are responsible for entering Vietnam through one of the designated checkpoints within your eVisa's validity. No refund will be given once your eVisa has been issued, including where you choose not to travel or do not use the eVisa to enter Vietnam.
If you object to any of the terms and conditions set out in this agreement you should not use any of the products or services on the Website.
Valid passport: Passports used to apply for the online visa process must be valid at least 06 months beyond the registered date of arrival. Applicants are fully responsible for checking this passport validity before using it to apply for the Vietnam online visa process. If passports have less than 06 months' validity counting from the date of arrival, they must be renewed before applying.
Personal details on original passport: The personal information shown on the main page (with picture of applicant). Applicants are fully responsible for providing their ENGLISH DETAILS when applying for the Vietnam online visa process. Special characters/letters in their own languages will not be accepted on the system for the visa process. Only the ENGLISH FULL NAME at the bottom line of the passport main page is accepted for the visa process. Please convert the applicant's passport details all into ENGLISH when applying for a Vietnam visa.
Date format on website online application submission section: dd/mm/yy, for example 12/06/1980.
Time Zone: Vietnamese standard time, GMT +7.
Available working days for visa process: All week days from MONDAY to FRIDAY, excluding SATURDAY and SUNDAY, and public national / international holidays.
Available working hours for visa process: from 8.30 AM to 15.30 PM, Vietnam timezone, every working day (excluding Saturday/Sunday and national/international holidays).
Multiple / Single entry: Multiple is interpreted as multiple entries, not multiple applicants.
Multiple entries means you are allowed to enter / exit Vietnam multiple times within a given period of time (1 month or 3 months). For example, a 3-month multiple-entry eVisa allows you to enter and exit Vietnam multiple times within 90 days from your approved date of arrival. A single-entry eVisa allows one entry only; it expires once you leave Vietnam.
Processing time for your Vietnam eVisa offered by www.vietnamvisa.govt.vn is based on the processing time of the Vietnam Immigration Department. Under normal circumstances it takes 5 to 10 business days; faster Urgent (2 business days) and Super Urgent (1 business day) options are available for an additional fee. Processing starts from the next business day after you pay and notify us of your payment receipt. In special cases, additional documents may be required and processing time may be longer than usual. In such cases, we will inform you by email.
Our service is completed once your eVisa is sent to the email address you provided during the application process. You are required to notify us if you do not receive it in time. If no email informing us that you did not receive your eVisa is sent within 3 days, the service is understood to be completed. We are not responsible for any delay or loss caused by wrong email addresses provided by applicants, or where applicants do not notify us by email that the eVisa has not been received.
Once the service is completed and the eVisa is sent to the applicant, the information and record of the applicant will be automatically deleted from our system. www.vietnamvisa.govt.vn is not to be held accountable and responsible for the problems and claims associated with personal data and privacy issues.
On Vietnamese national public holidays the Vietnam Immigration Department is closed, and no eVisas are issued until the next normal business day (business days are Monday through Friday only and exclude Saturday and Sunday). Public holidays can therefore extend eVisa processing times, so please allow extra time if your travel falls near one of these dates. The main recurring national public holidays are:
Your eVisa can NOT be CHANGED / AMENDED / CANCELLED once it has been issued, so please double-check all information to make sure it is accurate against the applicant's original passport. All corrections must be notified and emailed to us by the applicant within 20 to 30 minutes MAXIMUM after submission. Otherwise, the applicant is required to re-apply for a new eVisa to make any changes.
The Vietnam eVisa we process covers short-stay travel under a single document, including tourism, visiting family, attending conferences, and short-term business activities such as meetings, market visits, or signing contracts. By applying through our Website, you agree to use your eVisa only for these permitted short-stay purposes. Taking up employment in Vietnam (being paid by a Vietnamese entity), study, or long-term residency require different visa categories, and a work permit where applicable, which fall outside the scope of our eVisa service. If you are unsure which option fits your trip, please contact us by email before applying.
We are not responsible for any loss, delay or cancellation of your flight ticket, tour or accommodation booking made for your trip to Vietnam in case we are unable to help you — where we review your application and anticipate that Vietnam Immigration will deny it — or in case we are unable to send your eVisa to you on time as promised. In this case, we will refund you the full amount paid to us.
Normally, it takes 5 to 10 business days to process an eVisa; however, there are also exceptions and delays due to unforeseen problems. We strongly recommend that you apply for your eVisa at least 1 to 2 weeks in advance of the travel date to avoid any potential issues.
You must print your approved eVisa, or have it available on your phone, and present it together with your passport to the immigration officers at your chosen port of entry. Immigration processing times on arrival are determined solely by the Vietnamese authorities and are outside our control. These circumstances are unavoidable and we should not be held responsible for any loss incurred.
Each applicant receives their own individual eVisa linked to their passport. Please check every detail on your issued eVisa against your passport as soon as you receive it, and report any discrepancy to us immediately at support@vietnamvisa.govt.vn.
