Pick Urgent and we deliver your eVisa in 2 business days for $45 more per applicant. Pick Super Urgent and it's 1 business day for $85 more per applicant. The clock starts when your application reaches Vietnam Immigration, normally within 2 business hours of payment, not at checkout. The decision is always Immigration's.
Vietnam Visa by BDA is a private company that checks, corrects and files eVisa applications for travelers who are short on time. If you need an urgent visa for Vietnam and your flight leaves within 24 hours, phone us before paying. Anyone with more time can start now.
| Speed tier | Delivery, counted from our submission | Extra per applicant |
|---|---|---|
| Normal | 5 to 10 business days | Included |
| Urgent | 2 business days | $45 |
| Super Urgent | 1 business day | $85 |
The surcharge sits on top of the eVisa itself, which costs $54 to $104 per applicant with the Vietnam Immigration stamp fee included. On a 1-month single-entry eVisa, Super Urgent costs more than the visa does: $54 plus $85 is $139 per applicant, and Urgent brings the same visa to $99. The full price and speed-tier table lists all four visa types.
Each traveler pays their own surcharge. One order takes up to 10 applicants with no group surcharge, so three people on 1-month single-entry eVisas with Urgent pay $297 between them.
Vietnam Visa by BDA isn't affiliated with the Vietnamese government. The government's own eVisa site is evisa.gov.vn, where you can apply yourself and pay only the $25 single-entry or $50 multiple-entry fee. It has no express option, so speed there comes down to applying earlier.
On our $54 eVisa, $25 is that government fee and $29 is our service. That buys a second set of eyes before anything is filed: we review, correct, submit and follow up. Speed is extra.
Vietnam Immigration decides every eVisa, and the legal clock only starts once Immigration holds a complete, paid application. Three working days is the statutory standard, and 3 to 5 working days is what usually happens. Tet and public holidays push it further. The government lists no fee that shortens that wait. Urgent and Super Urgent are our delivery commitments, layered on top of that process. Processing times are set by Vietnam Immigration. We can file, chase and correct; we can't move an approval up the line. If we can't deliver in the time you paid for, you get the full amount back.
That's why we never call our eVisa "instant" or "same-day". Super Urgent is 1 business day and depends on Immigration. What we sell is a set number of business days, counted from submission, by a company that tells you it isn't the government.
Give yourself one to two weeks and the speed tiers stop mattering. Our terms recommend applying at least that far ahead, and Normal processing comes with the price.
Your 1 or 2 business days start when your application reaches Vietnam Immigration, not at checkout. The government's eVisa system works on Vietnam time (UTC+7), and weekends and public holidays don't count. Pay on a Friday evening anywhere in the Americas and it's already Saturday in Vietnam, so nothing moves until Monday, Vietnam time.
Two closures to plan around:
If your flight leaves within 24 hours, phone +84 832 320 320 before paying so we can tell you whether it's doable. If we can't deliver in time, we'll tell you upfront and refund. Better a straight no than a visa that lands after your plane has left. The hotline runs 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Vietnam time, seven days a week. Those are support hours, not Immigration's processing hours, so a Sunday phone call gets you an honest read on timing, not a faster decision. Our hotline hours and email address are on one page if you'd rather write.
Citizens of every country and territory can apply for a Vietnam eVisa, and have since August 15, 2023. It covers tourism, family visits, conferences and short-term business for up to 90 days, single or multiple entry. We don't handle work, study or residency visas. Before you add a surcharge, check:
Have your passport and a photo ready, and check what you need before you start. After you pay:
Approval is Vietnam Immigration's decision, and nobody can promise it. Our refunds cover these cases and no others:
So it isn't money back on every refusal. Vietnam Immigration doesn't refund its own fee when it refuses an application, either. The refund and timing questions page covers the rest.
Yes, with Super Urgent: 1 business day for $85 more per applicant. The clock starts when your application reaches Vietnam Immigration, normally within 2 business hours of payment, not at checkout. Weekends and Vietnamese public holidays don't count, and Immigration still makes the decision. If your flight leaves within 24 hours, phone before paying so we can tell you whether it's doable.
Not usually. Citizens of every country and territory can apply for the eVisa online, and it can run up to 90 days. What trips people up is small: a typo, a name that doesn't match the passport, a photo that won't pass. Our review exists to catch those before Vietnam Immigration sees them, and we email you to fix them at no extra cost.
Rarely, and not through us. A visa on arrival works only in specific cases: a sponsor in Vietnam has to get Vietnam Immigration's approval before you fly, and the border post stamps the visa against it. We don't process visa-on-arrival letters. The eVisa is simpler for most travelers, and it's what we file.
We don't process visa-on-arrival letters, so we can't quote you one. If you're comparing routes, our eVisa starts at $54 per applicant with the Vietnam Immigration fee included, and a rush adds $45 or $85. Filing the eVisa yourself at evisa.gov.vn costs $25 for single entry or $50 for multiple entry.
The eVisa is issued to people outside Vietnam, so apply before you travel. If you entered visa-free and need to stay longer, you'd have to leave and re-enter on an eVisa, or get an extension through a sponsor in Vietnam. We don't handle extensions.
