You don't need an office. The Vietnam eVisa is applied for, paid for and delivered entirely online, so Vietnam Visa by BDA can check and file yours from wherever you are. Prices start at $54 per applicant for a 1-month single-entry eVisa, with the Vietnam Immigration stamp fee included, and Normal delivery takes 5 to 10 business days once your application reaches Vietnam Immigration, which sets the pace.
If you searched "Vietnam visa service near me" hoping for a counter down the street, here's the useful part: no counter anywhere issues the eVisa, in the U.S. or in Vietnam, so distance stops mattering. Vietnam Visa by BDA is a private company based in Hanoi. We're not affiliated with the Vietnamese government, and you can always apply yourself at evisa.gov.vn and pay only the government's $25 single-entry fee.
Vietnam runs the eVisa electronically from end to end: the application, the fee payment, the processing and the visa itself. You print the eVisa yourself, with nothing to collect at an embassy and nothing to pick up at the border. Your eVisa is a PDF file downloaded from the government portal, so carry a printed copy and keep one on your phone.
Citizens of every country and territory can apply for a Vietnam eVisa. That's been the rule since August 15, 2023. Location matters in one way only: the eVisa is issued to people outside Vietnam, so you apply before you travel.
If you'd rather hand your application to a person, that's an embassy visa, a separate product from the eVisa. The Embassy of Vietnam in Washington, for example, takes visa applications in person or by mail. It processes them in 5 working days after a complete application and fee, or 1 to 4 working days with expedited service on request, issued at the embassy. Its website lists two different sets of counter hours, so confirm them with the embassy before you go.
For tourism, family visits, conferences or short-term business, the eVisa does the same job from your couch: it can be valid for up to 90 days, single or multiple entry. If you hold a U.S. passport, our page on Vietnam visa rules for U.S. citizens covers what applies to you.
Vietnam Immigration issues the eVisa. We prepare the application, check it, file it and chase it until Immigration answers. Here's what happens once you start:
One order can cover up to 10 travelers, with no group surcharge, and each person pays the same per-person rate.
| eVisa | Valid for | Entries | Price per applicant |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1-month single entry | 30 days from arrival | Single | $54 |
| 1-month multiple entry | 30 days from arrival | Multiple | $84 |
| 3-month single entry | 90 days from arrival | Single | $94 |
| 3-month multiple entry | 90 days from arrival | Multiple | $104 |
Every price includes the Vietnam Immigration stamp fee. Multiple entry costs $30 more on a one-month visa and $10 more on a three-month visa. Normal delivery, 5 to 10 business days, is included. Urgent takes 2 business days for $45 more per applicant, and Super Urgent takes 1 business day for $85 more.
Those times count from when we submit your file to Vietnam Immigration, normally within 2 business hours of payment, not from checkout. Three working days is the statutory standard; 3 to 5 working days is what usually happens, and Tet and public holidays push it further. Vietnam Immigration sets that pace and makes the decision. We can file, chase and correct; we can't move an approval up the line.
Give yourself one to two weeks and the speed tiers stop mattering. If you fly within 24 hours, phone +84 832 320 320 before paying so we can tell you whether it's doable. If it isn't, we say so first and refund.
You can apply for the eVisa yourself through the government portal at evisa.gov.vn and pay only the $25 single or $50 multiple stamp fee. That's the official site, and its Vietnamese-language alias is thithucdientu.gov.vn. On our 1-month single-entry eVisa, $25 of the $54 is that same government fee, so our service costs $29. Here's what our fee covers compared with the $25 government fee.
The $29 buys a second set of eyes before anything reaches Immigration and someone to chase the file afterward. It also opens the Urgent and Super Urgent tiers, which cost extra. The government portal lists no express fee, so its only speed lever is applying early. On either route, Vietnam Immigration doesn't refund its eVisa fee if the application is refused. If you're comfortable with forms and two weeks out, the portal is the cheaper route, and we'd rather you knew that before paying us.
Vietnam Visa by BDA is a private company. We're not affiliated with the Vietnamese government. The business behind the name is BDA Tech & Media JSC, headquartered at BDA Building, Lo E50, Khu 3ha, Phú Diễn, Hà Nội, and in business since 2007, when Tony Ngo founded BDA. Linh Hoang, our Head of Visa Operations, has eight years' experience with Vietnam Immigration procedures. Meet our team in Hanoi, or see who runs this site and how to check us.
Our support line runs 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Vietnam time (GMT+7), seven days a week. Those are support hours, not Vietnam Immigration's processing hours: an 8 p.m. call gets an answer from us, not a decision from Immigration. If you were looking for a visa agency in Hanoi, the office is where our team works, but your eVisa is still filed online. We don't publish an approval rate, because Vietnam Immigration makes every decision.
The eVisa is issued to people outside Vietnam, not to visitors already in the country. To switch from visa-free entry to an eVisa, you have to leave Vietnam and re-enter on the eVisa. Buying one in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City won't add a day to your current stay.
Staying longer means an extension. Extensions are done from inside Vietnam, through a sponsor (a company, organization or person in Vietnam) applying to Vietnam Immigration, and you appear in person at the Immigration Office covering where you live. Immigration takes up to 5 working days to decide. We don't handle extensions, so we won't take your money for one.
You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 to 10 minutes of applying, or if we spot a problem before we submit, such as an invalid passport. If we can't help you and anticipate Vietnam Immigration would deny the application, or we can't deliver on time, we refund the full amount paid.
Once your eVisa is issued, it's non-refundable, and any amendment is charged separately. There's no refund if you supplied incorrect or false information at submission, or for a no-show, because the visa is already issued and valid. It isn't money back on every refusal, and nothing we offer is a promise of approval.
Only in specific cases. Visa on arrival still exists, but it needs a sponsor in Vietnam to get Immigration approval first, and the visa is then stamped at the border against that approval. We don't process visa-on-arrival letters anymore. For most travelers the eVisa is simpler, because it's issued before you fly and there's nothing to arrange at the airport.
Judge any service, us included, on five checks. It says plainly that it's a private company. It shows the $25 or $50 government fee beside its own price. It quotes no approval rate. Its delivery times run from submission to Vietnam Immigration, with that dependency stated. Its refund scope is written down. A service that promises approval is promising something only Immigration decides.
No. For an eVisa your passport stays with you. What you'll need is a photo of its data page and a portrait, and the passport has to stay valid for at least 30 days after your eVisa ends. Enter and leave Vietnam on that same passport. If you renew it during your trip, the visa has to be transferred to the new one.
Maybe not. Passport holders from 24 countries can stay up to 45 days without a visa: 12 for any purpose, including the UK, Germany, France and Japan, and 12 for tourism only, including the Netherlands, Poland and Switzerland. Another 15, most of them in Southeast Asia, have bilateral exemptions of 14 to 90 days. U.S. citizens aren't on any of these lists. If your trip fits an exemption, you don't need us. Check your nationality's eligibility before you pay anyone.
